Financial structuring and strategic growth in a healthcare institution
Challenge
A medium-sized healthcare facility providing primary and secondary healthcare services faced financial inefficiency.
Although the services were provided widely, it was unclear which of them generated profit and which incurred losses. The payment options from the Health Insurance Fund are not being utilized sufficiently, the SVEIDRA data is not used for decision-making, and the direction for strategic growth is unclear.
Problem Solving
We were engaged as external financial managers (CFO) and created a clear financial structure:
• We analyzed all provided services based on health care funding and real profitability
• We implemented a clear accountability system according to types of services and cost centers
• We started using SVEIDROS data for results and service efficiency analysis
• We refined profitable services and initiated the termination of unprofitable activities
• We created a foundation for the motivational system development, linking it to performance results
Results
✔ Clearly identified profitable and loss-making services
✔ Terminated activities that generated losses
✔ Implemented real estate project financing with projected payback
✔ Created a motivational system for employees, linked to results
✔ Strengthened financial indicators and ensured directional company growth
Client Insight
“Previously, we had a lot of data, but little clarity. Now we can see where we truly create value – this has helped not only improve results but also create a sustainable strategy.”
